Daikoku is great. Nice post about this little Osaka gem.

Also for those of you looking for 100 shops, try the Daiso homepage. They list the biggest ones. In Kansai you have to go to the Tsukashin shopping center in the Itami / Amagasaki area. There's a great Onsen there too.

There is also a 100 yen shop at the Tempozan Park, it's on the 3rd floor where the giant ferris wheel is. It's got a large selection of kitchen items, in case you are just moving to the area.

Hi Frederick,

I don't know that many big 100 yen shops. Apart from the one mentioned above in Namba there is one or two in Shinsaibashi along the main shopping arcade.

Here's <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&om=0&msa=0&ll=34.675747,135.501938&spn=0.003397,0.007296&z=17&msid=117073583813022229535.000445f21a69658db7034" title="nomap" rel="nofollow">a map if you are interested in finding them</a>. It's the blue line on the map, and they will be on your left. As far as I can remember they are beside each other.

Of course, if any other readers know of others, please feel free to leave details here in the comments.

Hey, can you let me know where some of the large 100 yen shops are in Osaka? I am traveling to Osaka but will only be there a few days ( I used to live there for a year..years ago).I'd like to buy a few things and am on a schedule so won't have much to time to look for 100 yen shops.
